This is the best place weve ever been to as a family. We have 3 children and camped over the Australia Day weekend. Theres a new camp kitchen as well, which has been really well designed. The kids did lots of the activities. Our youngest, aged 6, did the new Tree Climb designed specifically for kids up to 7 years. Our other 2 did the Tree Top Climb for adults. All 3 kids have not stopped talking about their experiences in the trees. We also went digging for thundereggs and my husband found a fabulous one with amethyst in it. It now sits on display at home. We had a meal in their restaurant one night, which we really enjoyed. We were told by another camping family about how good it was and we werent disappointed. Im a coeliac, so I have to be careful where I eat, but their restaurant had lots of choices for me. We have a question we ask ourselves when we leave a place, which is the will we go back test and this has received a unanimous yes from us.
Took my son here for something to do and we had a blast at the mini golf! Great little spot and the course is beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Cant wait to go back and try the tree top challenge or laser next time!
Totally recommend the horse and trail riding centre, they offer pony rides for children only $10. They also have trail rides available. Friendly staff members too.The ropes course is absolutely amazing but i recommend this for the cooler months. Thunderbird park also offers accommodation and other fun activities for the whole family.Want something for a little less $$$$ them park your car and head down to the creek for a bbq and a swim.
Highly recommend this place. Laser tag was unexpected fun while playing against another group of visitors. Note that the tree top challenge can take up to 3 hours so have time and sun screen. Lots of fun and you will get sweaty.
Stayed here in the camping area and it was probably the best camping spot I've stayed at. Fire pits already there and firewood readily available. Many creeks, falls and amusement to keep people entertained. Will be back for some more thunder eggs and the high ropes course.
